Julove Dolls

Julita Kalin

Country: Poland

Location: D.K. Kadr ul. Rzymowskiego 32, Warsaw

Description:

Vernissage of Julita Kalin's artistic puppets exhibition

Julove dolls were created out of a love for minimalism and a longing for the times when the toy was an exclusive and durable item; a friend who took children to the world of their imaginations.

Each doll is different: cheerful, feisty, similar to, or completely different from the person it is intended for.

Podmieniec

Date: 10.10.2021
Starting at: 17:00
Country: Poland

Location: Służewski Dom Kultury ul. Jana Sebastiana Bacha 15, Warsaw

Description:

Stop. Cut. Time to change the perspective, don't you think? Stand aside and look at the reality like you have never looked before. "Podmieniec" is a story about being different, which isn't always something easily accepted, even though it is a major part of the world that surrounds us.

According to legends, the titular character is a child of bogins, mamuns, and diwizons. Slavic demons snatching babies right from their cribs, giving their own offsprings in exchange. „You think it's in there?”, „Let's get it!”, „Kill the monster!” - Doesn't it sound familiar?

Plastic Heroes

Ariel Doron

Date: 10.10.2021
Starting at: 19:00
Country: Israel/Germany

Location: Theatre Institute ul. Jazdów 1, Warsaw

Description:

„Plastic Heroes“ is a surprising, funny and fast paced collage of images from war, made entirely of “ready made” children's toys.

Violence, desire, hate and fear are put on the table as the so called 'naive' children toys are brought to life, and the innocence of child's play encounters the bleeding reality of adult war.

Combining a variety of object manipulation techniques, video and acting „Plastic Heroes“ manages to be funny and painful at the same time, and to deal with hard issues while giving the audience a wild and refreshing puppetry experience.

Date: 14.10.2021
Starting at: 19:00

The three Archangels: Michael, Gabriel and Raphael are trying to change the course of events and give biblical Eve a chance to change her mind by presenting her stories of women from the Bible, generations after her.
